Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin

The Discovery World at Pier Wisconsin is located in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. It is basically a museum operated by Discovery World, Ltd., formed after a merger with Pier Wisconsin, Ltd. It moved to its current location on the lakeshore in 2006.

The museum has a lot of interactive exhibits that enhance the viewing experience. There are laboratories and sections to learn about water, energy and modern medicine. A lot of technology is used to transport viewers into Virtual Simulations.

State-of-the-art aquariums, which have marine as well as fresh water, replicate deep sea environments from all over the world. The Great Lakes watershed is built to scale and educates about stewardship, freshwater issues and our impact on fresh water resources.

The museum lays emphasis on technology, innovation and the conservation of Great Lakes. It houses the official flagship of Wisconsin, the Denis Sullivan. It is modeled after a 19th century Great Lakes schooner and is fully functional.

The main attractions are Les Paul's house of sound, Johnson Controls Techno Jungle, Reiman Aquarium, Helen Bader Foundation's Great Lakes Future, Briggs and Stratton Milwaukee Muscle, Energy and Ingenuity, The Hive, The Challenge, Rockwell Automation Dream Machine, S/V Denis Sullivan, City of Freshwater and Badger Meter Liquid House.
