The Milwaukee Area Technical College is known for its educational outreach programs such as the two PBS stations that are operated by the college, serving the southeastern part of Wisconsin. The college partnered with the Zenith Corp. and AT&T in the year 1992 to broadcast the first digital television signal of the country. Eventually, by 2000, the college stations started broadcasting high definition digital programs regularly. The college was the first one in Wisconsin to provide wireless Internet services in all its campuses in the year 2003.
