This museum is a must see, at least for its brilliant exterior. A huge, kinetic sculpture forms the top and is shaped in the form of a graceful swan that has metal wings that close up at night and remain in a gliding position by day. It is called "brise soleil" which means window blinds like sunshades and was designed by the architect Santiago Calatrava. The Time magazine called it 2001's best design and the USA Weekend called it one of the best 21st century buildings. One of the largest collections of the works by Georgia O'Keefe is exhibited in the museum. Apart from this, this, it also holds collections of German Expressionism, Haitian Art and American folk and decorative art.
